On November 26, 2022, the doctoral dissertation Defense Meeting of Accounting College of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics for the class of 2022 was successfullyconcluded.Affected by the COVID-19, this meeting was held online in the form of Tencent conference. Three doctoral students participated and successfullypassed.
The defense committee consisted of nine experts, including Prof. Tang Guoping of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Prof. Liu Liyun, Deputy director of the Audit Research Institute of the National Audit Office, Prof. Zhang Rui, Doctoral supervisor group leader of the Accounting School of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Prof. Jiang Yaoming, Prof. Liu Qiliang, Prof. Yuan Yehu, Prof. Zou Ling, Prof. Liao Yigang and Prof. XiongJiacai.
The defense process is in accordance with the doctoral dissertation defense procedures of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. Firstly, the three doctoral candidates introduced their papers under the titles of "Research on Government Audit and Local Government Budget Deviation", "Research on Supplier MD&A Risk Information, Auditor Selection and Audit Governance Effect", and "Governance of Directors' Liability Insurance and Corporate Performance" respectively. Next, the experts asked questions and gave comments andsuggestions.The students responded to the expert'squestions.Finally, the defense committee discussed and voted, and the result is announced by the defensechairman.
After the evaluation and voting of the experts of the defense committee, the 3 doctoral students who participated in this dissertation defense successfully passed. Accounting College strictly managed and supervised the whole process of doctoral dissertation writing. This doctoral dissertation defense is another powerful measure for the college to continuously improve the quality of doctoral graduatetraining.
